ABOUT ALVL FOUNDATION
ALVL Foundation, a registered Charitable Trust, is a philanthropic initiative founded by (Honorary) Brigadier Dr Arvind Lal and Dr Vandana Lal- of Dr Lal PathLabs Ltd., drawn by their passion to make quality healthcare accessible for all in India.
Dr Arvind Lal and Dr Vandana Lal have been committed to better provision of healthcare at community level through the activities of Dr Lal PathLabs Foundation- focusing on preventive care, control of Non-communicable diseases (NCDs) and skill development of healthcare workers and also through several other not-for-profit organisations and initiatives. With ALVL Foundation, the intent is to make more concerted and holistic efforts to improve primary healthcare facilities for India’s most vulnerable population.
While the main focus area of the Foundation is healthcare, it also supports various development initiatives in other social sectors and larger determinants of health such as Education, Social Wellbeing and Livelihoods.
“What we have done for ourselves alone dies with us; what we have done for others and the world remains and is immortal.”
MESSAGE FROM FOUNDERS
ALVL Foundation was established as a philanthropic initiative for improving healthcare in far-flung rural and remote areas of India, where 70% of our population lives.
In line with the national programme of Ayushman Bharat’s creation of 1.5 lakh Health and Wellness Centres (HWCs), this initiative focuses on transforming primary health care, especially in rural areas, by working closely with the Government.
We are upgrading the existing primary health infrastructure into ‘Smart HWCs’. These ‘Smart HWCs’ will leverage technology and innovations to provide Comprehensive Primary Health Care (CPHC). This will enhance the quality of life by providing better basic health facilities that are lacking to a large extent in our villages.
By contributing to the health and wellbeing of our communities, we endeavour to uplift the socio-economic status of the underprivileged population. We aim to achieve this by using our resources, experience, time and medical skills, to help make a difference in the lives of others and create a healthier India.
We believe that the time has come for us to give back to the society and we pledge to fulfil this responsibility through ALVL Foundation.
